Reportage sur la soirée d’inauguration
WTC Lille-Arras was officially inaugurated by Philippe Rapeneau, President of the Arras Urban Community and the instigator of the World Trade Center programme in Arras, before an audience of 250 guests.
In the presence of figures representing the region, such as Daniel Percheron, President of the Nord-Pas de Calais Regional Council, Philippe Vasseur, President of CCI Nord de France and Frédéric Leturque, mayor of Arras, and the international World Trade Center network, such as Gazi Abu Nahl, President of the bureau of the WTC Association, Philippe Doubre, President of WTC Geneva and Patrick Van Den Schrieck, president of WTC Lille, he underlined the significance, for Arras, of joining an international network.
The objective of World Trade Center Lille-Arras is to support and assist businesses in Artois seeking to develop internationally. Through their well-known and respected brand, World Trade Centers contribute to the economic development of their cities.
Participants in the first round-table meeting strongly emphasized the impact that the presence of a World Trade Center has on a territory, essentially putting it “on the map”. By virtue of the principle of reciprocity, businesses that are members of a WTC have access to all of the 330 other WTCs around the globe.
The advantages of the Artois territory were highlighted in the second round-table meeting. World Trade Center Lille-Arras will be instrumental in making them widely known. Through their membership of the WTC network, Arras and Artois will enjoy much higher international visibility.
The lecture by François Duhen, research director at Crédit Mutuel-CIC group, showed that although encouraging signs of revival are starting to appear, they are still very fragile and above all dependent on reforms that must be implemented by France.
Plus de 150 entreprises étaient présentes à l’inauguration. Elles sont invitées à rendre visite à l’équipe du World Trade Center Lille-Arras dans ses nouveaux locaux, au 64 bd Carnot, à Arras.
